Is there a difference between normal LED and WLED displays?
I’m planning on getting a laptop soon. I was comparing Dell’s Inspiron and Studio lines. I noticed that the Inspiron has a normal LED display, while the Studio is listed as having a WLED display. Is there a difference between the two, and if so, what is it? Which one gives better colors and which one allows for a longer battery life?
I think you meant normal LCD screen. And WLED is short for “White Light Emitting Diode”, what it does is exactly what you were asking. WLED displays use white color LEDs (lights) that are supposed to be brighter, have more vibrant colors, and save you battery life.
