whats a person to do if they cant talk on the phone due to a medical condtion ?
My gf mom had her voicebox removed and she cant talk . Shes not very good with spelling and wouldnt understand texing on a cellphone. Is there anyway to communicate with her with a special phone that could help her talk to us somehow with a voice
Yes, there’s one that could help her. The name of it in short is TDD (telecommunications use for the deaf). This uses a telephone line and special operators available almost everywhere. You might have already heard about them. The thing for your your gf mom would be that they have a special account that she can use called the “carry over” service. This enables people that can’t hear but can talk to use. These alone are referred to as “voice carry over” or aka VCO. You would need to call or go to one of the larger phone co. like AT&T or Verizon to make sure that the different code services are available in both area’s. There is are also many software attachments or uses to make sure it’ll be easy for her to know when the phone is calling too. Good luck and God Bless
